    All area schools, Waynesville City Hall, and the Pulaski County Court Couse were closed on Monday due to the weather conditions. Fort Leonard Wood suspended all non-essential operations on Monday as well. All flights out of the Waynesville-St. Robert Airport were suspended.
    Ruth Gordon, who records weather observations in Waynesville for the National Weather Service, said that this has been "the worst storm in years."
    Gordon recorded that Waynesville received 10.5 inches of snow total during the storm that stretched from Saturday night into Sunday. evening. Gordon said the coldest temperature she recorded was minus-16 degrees on early Tuesday morning.
    "Stay inside and keep warm if you can," Gordon said. "It hasn't been this cold in years."
    As of Monday afternoon, Crocker R-II, Laquey R-IV, OTC-Waynesville, Richland R-IV, and Waynesville R-VI, have all cancelled classes for Tuesday. Pulaski County court will be in session on Tuesday.
    A gradual warm-up is expected to begin Tuesday, but more snow is possible on Wednesday.
