  • In an effort to accommodate continually growing class sizes at its Fort Leonard Wood campus, Columbia College will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Jan. 7 for a new course location in nearby Waynesville.
    Dr. Terry B. Smith, interim president of Columbia College and Mike Siegel, director of the Fort Leonard Wood campus, will be present to celebrate the momentous occasion with Waynesville community leaders, the Waynesville Chamber of Commerce, students, alumni faculty, staff, and members of the general public.
    Tours of the location will be available and refreshments will be served.
    Columbia College-Fort Leonard Wood was established in 1974 to serve the military population and their families. The campus offers six associate degree programs and eight bachelor’s degree programs in-seat. Twenty-seven associate, bachelor’s or master’s degrees also are available online.
