University of Missouri Extension Pulaski County Master Gardeners will hold a raised bed gardening class Saturday, March 15, 2014from 10:00 A.M. to noon, at Pulaski County Extension, 403 School Street, in Downtown Waynesville. The class is FREE and open to the public, and scheduled just prior to the St Patrick's Day Festival.
The class is part of the Pulaski Master Gardeners BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) spring class series, taking place at Pulaski County Extension. Participants will learn raised bed gardening methods for successful growing above clay soil or on a patio. The class will be taught by Pulaski County Advanced Master Gardener Anne Premont.
“Raised bed gardening allows larger crops in a smaller area, and uses less water. It also offers gardeners with mobility issues an opportunity to ability garden,” said Anne Premont. "Beginning and experienced gardeners will enjoy this class and remaining classes in this March/April Saturday gardening series."
