Evelyn Fedder Hemstreet

Evelyn Fedder Hemstreet, daughter of the late Ivan Blanchard and Cora Elretta (Vought) Wagner, was born January 20, 1932 in Lime Ridge, Pennsylvania. As a young girl, Evelyn attended school in Berwick and Lime Ridge.
On June 23, 1950, Evelyn was united in marriage to Theodore Conrad Fedder in Espy, Pennsylvania. They shared over 43 years together and were blessed with three children. Theodore preceded Evelyn in death on August 23, 1993.
On May 30, 1999, Evelyn married Dennis Keith Hemstreet in Waynesville, Missouri. They shared over 14 years and many wonderful memories together.
Evelyn was a hardworking woman. While still living in Pennsylvania, Evelyn worked for the Hosiery Company and Milco in Bloomsburg and Weis Potato Chips Company in Berwick.
In her spare time, Evelyn loved to handwork; whether it was crocheting, needle point, knitting or sewing. She was also very involved in her local church wherever she was needed. She was a member of the Lime Ridge Methodist Church while living in Pennsylvania, and after moving to the Waynesville area, she attended the Waynesville United Methodist Church. She was recently attending the Briarwood Baptist Church of Dixon, Missouri.
Evelyn went home to be with her Lord Thursday, March 20, 2014 in the Cox South Medical Center of Springfield, Missouri having attained the age of 82 years, and 2 months. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her.
Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Dennis K. Hemstreet of St. Robert, MO; three children: Theodore Conrad Fedder, Jr. of Berwick, PA, Rodney Lee Fedder of Bloomsburg, PA and Christine Diane Hutchinson of Waynesville, MO; one sister: Lois Seesholtz of Lime Ridge, PA; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and first husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by two sisters: Ruth A. Stevens and Catherine M. Lee.
Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Pastor Bill Davis officiating. The songs “Just A Closer Walk With Thee” and “Til We Meet Again” were played.
