Mid Missouri Credit Union donates over $600 to St. Robert Youth Sports

ST. ROBERT — Local Mid Missouri Credit Union branches have turned casual Friday into cash for the community.

This past month employees of the area Mid Missouri Credit Unions were allowed to wear jeans if they donated $10 to a pool of money being built to donate to a local cause.

The Credit Union raised $611.93 last month and all the proceeds were donated to St. Robert Youth Sports.

Kerry Rayford, the Parks Facility Supervisor of St. Robert, said the money is going to be used as needed for youth programs.

Soon though, Rayford said he is going to buy cleaning supplies for the Tiger Typhoon Aquatic Center on J.H. Williamson Jr. Drive.

Tracy McCord, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Mid Missouri Credit Union said every month the Credit Union has been handing out checks.

“At the beginning of the year a committee meets and decides the charities from their field of membership,” McCord said. “They look at their needs and how the money could help them and the community.”

This month the lucky recipient happened to be St. Robert Youth Sports.
