Nothing went well for the Tigers on Tuesday in Waynesville against the Glendale Falcons

WAYNESVILLE — The Waynesville Tigers baseball team was blown out 14-0 in six innings by conference rival Glendale on Tuesday in Waynesville.

Coach Scott Turner said his Tigers (5-12, 1-4 in the Ozark Conference) were not up to par in any aspect of their game against the Falcons (11-11, 5-1).

“We did not perform up to our expectations offensively or defensively,” Turner said.

Defense has been hit or miss throughout this season for Waynesville and this time around it was a definite miss.

Six errors led to five Glendale runs Tuesday.

Three different pitchers were called upon to try to patch over the six innings and they gave up 10 hits, eight walks, hit four batters and surrendered nine of the runs.

Meanwhile, the Tigers' lineup mustered up four hits and three walks, but those runners led to no runs.

Waynesville's next game will be at West Plains on Thursday when they take on the Zizzers.
