Celebrate America this weekend at Route 66 Freedom Fest. The event, sponsored by the Downtown Business Association, kicks off at 11 a.m. in the Waynesville Square.

Here are some highlights of this weekend's event:

USO Motorcycle Ride: For the ninth year in a row, area motorcycle riders will be cruising Route 66 for the USO Support Motorcycle Ride, which concludes in the downtown square. Last year, more than 100 motorcycles completed the 37-mile journey from Lebanon.
Cave State Cruisers: Hop over to the Waynesville City Park during Freedom Fest to see classic cars of 21 classes for all makes and models. Drive-thru judging will take place Saturday and Sunday morning.
Activities for the kids: Route 66 Fest is sure to provide fun for the whole family. There will be a bouncy house, karaoke contest, kids inflatables, and much more to keep the kiddos happy and entertained.
Wide Variety of food: Grab some traditional American grub at this year's Freedom Fest. Vendors will have hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, and all sorts of delicious edibles for the family to enjoy.
Check out the businesses downtown: With most of the downtown businesses open, Saturday will be the perfect day to check out the Square. Be sure to take a tour of the Old  Stagecoach Stop and the Pulaski County Museum. Stop by and see all the new businesses in the Roubidoux Plaza.
