  • The search is underway in Camden County for a missing 53-year-old female who resides in the Countryside Mobile Park.
Camden County Sheriff's Department deputies were contacted at 8:09 p.m. on July 20 in reference to a female who had wondered off into the woods behind her home off Route A. Family say Kathleen Rogers took off on foot and has not been seen since.
Rogers is five foot six and weighs approximately 165 pounds. She has blue eyes and was last seen wearing a brown flower printed blouse with blue capri pants with a white stripe and flip-flops.
Deputies, members of the Osage Beach Search and Rescue team and K-9 units searched the area until 3 a.m. on July 21 before discontinuing the search for the night.
The search continued first thing Monday morning. By 11:30 a.m., 14 officers were on site. Two searched the woods on a gator while two searched a pond near the area.
A detective was sent to Rogers' home in attempt to get more information from her family.
Officials main concern on Monday morning is that Rogers could have fallen and could be injured. K-9 units did not find anything according to Sheriff Department officials.
The search commenced from the last known point the subject was seen and continues from there.
On Monday morning, teams searched the same piece of land that they searched the night before.
"Woods in the dark are very different than woods in the day light," Sergeant Bill Moulder said.
The rough terrain is making the search tougher than expected. Search efforts included a helicopter search by mid-day Monday.
At this point, the Sheriff's Department does not have a cause for the disappearance.
Osage Beach Fire confirmed that they had responded to four medical calls at the same address during the week before the missing person call on Sunday night.
Three out of the four calls were for a male subject.
Citizens who may come in contact with Rogers are asked to call Camden County Sheriff’s Office or their local law enforcement.
