  • Area cat lovers have a chance to have some fun this Saturday, Aug. 30, and support a worthy cause at a photo scavenger hunt  being held at the Waynesville community gazebo.
The event kicks off at 10 a.m. Teams of two will take photos, find items and get rewards. The cost is $25 per team.
All proceeds from the event go toward the Kitten Division, Pulaski County's only adoption center and rescue service dedicated to abandoned and injured cats.
The 501(c)3 organization was founded in 2012 and is an all-volunteer organization devoted to finding new homes for unwanted cats and kittens.
According to Kitten Division's website, the group receives no funding from any level of government or humane societies.
It relies on individuals within the community to help care for the abandoned and injured cats they take in.
