Waynesville R-VI School Board
The Waynesville R-VI School Board will meet in special session at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, in conference room B of the administration building for a special closed session on personnel matters.

North Town Village/Interstate Plaza District
The North Town Village/Interstate Plaza Transportation District board will meet at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, in St. Robert city hall. Agenda items include financial reports, new business items including a report from Archer Engineering, and a closed session for unspecified matters.

Pulaski County Commission
The Pulaski County Commission will meet in regular session from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Aug. 14, in the county courthouse. Agenda items include a 10 a.m. meeting with the Public Facilities Board.

Sen. Frank Barnitz listening post
Sen. Frank Barnitz, D-Lake Spring, has announced that his district legislative assistant, Wilma Rowden of Vienna, will continue her listening posts in August at locations throughout the 16th Senate District. Rowden’s schedule includes a Thursday, Aug. 14 meeting from 9 to 11 a.m. at Crocker City Hall and from 1 to 2 p.m. at Dixon City Hall, and a Thursday, Aug. 28, meeting with the Pulaski County Commission from 9 to 11 a.m. at the county courthouse in Waynesville.

Waynesville Rural Fire Board
The Waynesville Rural Fire Protection District board will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Waynesville fire station. Agenda items include a financial report, setting the 2008 tax rate, unspecified old and new business, and comments from the public.

Plato R-V School Board
The Plato R-V School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, in the high school library. Agenda items include a tax levy hearing and approval of the 2008-09 tax rate; patron and student discussion; MSTA/CTA discussion; review and approval of meal prices including 30 cents for milk, $1 for breakfast and $1.50 for lunch; approval of bus routes and receiving a transportation report; resignations; review and approval of policy updates; review and approval of a central office secretarial and bookkeeper salary schedule; approval of bids for used buses; administrative reports including a superintendent’s report on facility updates, the Military Children’s School Investment Act, impact aid, a facility statement of values, and AYP and MAP results and reports from building principals; and a closed session for personnel issues, hiring and land issues.
