Summer Jam on the Square is scheduled Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. on the square in Waynesville, featuring live music from nearly a dozen groups and individuals on the main stage and in the gazebo on the square.
This free event, sponsored by the Waynesville Animal Shelter, Waynesville VFW Post 3176, Caffé Italia, Realm Production, PFAA and Rt. 66 Music, features local bands and musicians.
Acts scheduled on the main stage include Rt 66, Ten Down, Black Water Moccasin, Holding Cell, Generation Gap, Renegade, Victoria and AZN.
Attractions at the Gazebo include Sowed Up Slick, Emily Payne, Tony Ray, AZN Acoustic Theory of God and DS-3.
Vendors will sell food and other items, including lotions, body soaps, T-shirts, arts and crafts.
Other attractions include bounce houses, pony rides, the Court House Museum, the Old Stage Coach Stop Museum, popcorn, snow cones, funnel cakes and shopping.
The event, according to local blog sites, is to “showcase local musical talent throughout the event” and allow local businesses to display their products and services.
This non-profit event is alcohol-free.
Bring the family for an afternoon and evening of food, music and fun on the square.
All proceeds from Summer Jam on the Square will be donated to the Pulaski County Planters, VFW, Waynesville Animal Shelter, and the Pulaski County Humane Society, according to reports on the web site.
