The Waynesville-St. Robert Lions Club met Thursday night at 6:30 pm at Price Cutters Restaurant. 
The Lions Club will be meeting there each first and third Thursday of each month. 
The new officers for 2008 and 2009 are Lion Paul Corbett, president; Lion Jeffrey Dowdy, vice president; Lion Glenda Logan, secretary-treasurer; and Lion Lelar Corbett, tail twister. 
The Miss Merry Christmas Pageant was set for Nov. 15. Applications will be ready Oct. 1. 
The Lions are planning the Christmas parade, which will take place the first Sunday in December. (More on the parade later)
The club is looking into several fundraisers for the next year. They are also looking for new members. If you are a person who would like to get involved in the community and help those who are less fortunate, please join us.
