Waynesville Speech and Debate competed very well at its latest tournament. The team traveled to Jefferson City High School for the annual Mustache Invitational on Feb. 3 - 4, 2012. Twenty-one schools competed at the tournament.
"This was a good tournament to get us ready for state and national qualifiers," said head coach Micah Joseph. "All of the big Kansas City and St. Louis schools were represented."
Joseph and assistant coach Beth Humphrey were pleasantly surprised with the success of the team. Waynesville had two semi-finalists and placed fifth in Dramatic Interpretation.

Leni Parks - 5th, Dramatic Interpretation
Semi-Finalist:
Ty Leatherbery - Humorous Interpretation and Storytelling
