A St. James man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Gasconade County Wednesday evening.

Johnny B. Iannace, 25, was the sole occupant of a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Innate was driving the car south on Route B around 6:10 p.m. Dec. 28 when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve about 700 feet north of Baxter Road. The Malibu went off the left side of the roadway and struck a driveway, a fence and a tree, the report states, then caught fire.

The crash report indicated he was wearing a seatbelt.

The Gasconade County Coroner pronounced Iannace pronounced dead at 20:45 hours. This was the 11th fatality for Troop F in December and its 80th for 2016.
