The city was busy taking care of business at Tuesday's Board of Aldermen meeting, passing 24 ordinances.

St Robert City Council Meeting of February 7, 2017. Attending the meeting were: Mayor Dr. George Lauritson, Alderman Theresa Cook, Dr. Charles Slider, Linda Daniels, Allen Johannsen, Michael Myers, Reggie Hall and Bill Shaw. Alderman Todd Williams was absent. It was a busy and productive meeting for the Aldermen. January minutes were approved, new old and new business was discussed and 24 Ordinances were approved. Three more things you should know from the City Council Meeting are:

1. Ronald McDonald House Week

Mayor Lauritson proclaimed February 13-18, 2017 as Ronald McDonald House Week. McDonald’s of St Robert is a participant in the Share a Heart Campaign. Proceeds from the Share a Heart Campaign benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks. Ronald McDonald Houses provides a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill and sick children.


2. Sidewalk Improvements Coming

The Alderman have accepted a bid with Donald Maggi, Inc. to improve the sidewalks by Starbucks. In an agreement with the city, Donald Maggi, Inc. will improve 340 feet of sidewalk

3. Reserve Fund Account Established

Reserve Funds are accumulated and maintained to provide stability. This stability allows the City to respond to unpredicted one-time expenditures such as emergencies. Additionally, the reserve is intended to protect the City’s credit worthiness.
