You guys know what happens in three short weeks, right?  You got it, National Library Week!  Stop by your local branch of the Pulaski County Library District for more fun than you knew you could have at a library.  We’ll have neat giveaways for everybody and drawings for a few.  We’ll also unveil our brand new library cards, and offer free library card replacement (normally a $2 fee) for anyone who needs a new card.
One of the highlights of every National Library Week are our Open Houses.  Each branch will have an open house on a different day.  We’ll have snacks, activities, our mayors will issue a Proclamation to the library, and it’s just an all-around fun day.
Special this year are our informational meetings about the Friends of the Library.  If you are interested in being a library friend, please attend one of our informational meetings.  You don’t have to commit to anything, we just ask you to come out and learn more about what the library offers and how you can be a friend.  We’ll even have refreshments!  The Friends of the Library Informational meetings will be:
Richland Library – Tuesday,
              April 11 – 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Crocker Library – Wednesday,
    April 12 – 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Waynesville Library – Friday,
    April 14 – 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Please plan to attend and learn
more about your library!

Book of the Week
“Twelve Angry Librarians”, by Miranda James – Well, I had to choose it for the book of the week, didn’t I?  Intrigue, murder, grudges, librarians?  Count me in!  Find “Twelve Angry Librarians” at the Crocker Library, and find out what those librarians are so angry about.
