Richland held its Board of Aldermen meeting Tuesday night and a number of things were discussed. Among the topics discussed were Richland Community Development Corporation, officials were sworn in, factory project, airport grant and budget workshops.

In attendance were: Dawnelyn Schneider, Alderman Ward 3, Kandy Murphy, Alderman Ward 2, Susan Alexander, City Clerk, Eldon Haun, Mayor, Cary Hansen, City Attorney, Greg Startman, City Administrator, Ronda Workman-Massey, Alderman Ward 1 and Larry Fincher, Alderman ward 2. Here are three things you should know from the City's Board of Aldermen meeting:
Richland Community Development Corporation
The name Richland Community Development Board was approved. This group will have four main areas that they will be focusing on: recruiting industry, jobs, and small business, partnerships with Fort Leonard Wood, downtown revitalization and tourism. This group was created to breath life into the Richland area and the next meeting will be held May 3 at the Methodist Church.
Newly elected officials are sworn in
2. The officials that were sworn into office officially took their oath of office at the meeting. Sworn in were: Eldon Haun, Mayor, Ronda Workman-Massey, Alderman Ward 1 and Kandy Murphy, Alderman Ward 2.
Factory Project Completed, budget workshops and proceeding with airport grant
3.The factory in Richland has had it’s upgrades completed. There is a possibility of more than one business occupying the space. The green light was given to keep proceeding with the grant for the airport. There will be budget workshops May 2nd,4th and 9th in which the board will work on the budget for the City of Richland.
