Members of the community and school officials presented scholarships and awards totaling approximately $6 million, if utilized over the next four years, to the Waynesville High School Class of 2017 during Honors Night on May 16. Approximately 368 students will graduate today.
Among the many awards presented, State Rep. Steve Lynch recognized the Valedictorians, Trevor Aldenberg, Darien Crum, Mackenzie Cunningham, Heather Green and Sierra Hart with a Missouri House Resolution.
Col. (Ret) Charles Williams also congratulated his JRTOC cadets Steven Berrios and Mason Michels for their appointments to the West Point Military Academy. They will join eight other WHS students at West Point, bringing the total to 10.
Waynesville High School graduation begins today at 7:30 p.m., at Tiger Stadium, weather permitting. Those with a ticket will be admitted to the home side bleachers.
