This summer, teens in Crocker are participating in weekly Engineering Challenges.

So far, they’ve built towers out of paper, built a water slide for the resident Lego-man, built a tower with balloons, straws, and tape taller than the tallest member of their team, built a structure using only toothpicks and marshmallows, and (the most challenging challenge) “Build a Better Sundae”.

The Engineering Challenges are happening in conjunction with our Summer Reading Program, Build a Better World. Teens are encouraged to read, participate in weekly engineering challenges, and make the world a better place by doing something kind for someone they know. Teens and librarians alike have had a great time learning how to Build a Better World!
