A St. Robert man is charged for allegedly threatening, on Facebook, to bomb a local business.
St. Robert Police Department took a report of a bomb threat on April 13, when Andrew Wilkerson allegedly threatened to bomb Dr. Phil’s Catfish and Ribs in St. Robert.
According to the probable cause statement, a Facebook post, that had stirred some controversy, referenced Dr. Phil’s Catfish and Ribs in St. Robert.
The charging document reported that a comment on the post, allegedly by Wilkerson, read, “I’m gonna bomb the building [Dr. Phil’s Catfish] next week anyway so don’t worry about it to [sic] much just got done making the bomb and gonna leave it in the restroom tomorrow around noon so don’t go there and when you see it on the news just remember this post which will not be on here anymore cause i mm [sic] a smart terrorist.”
The reporting officer wrote, in the probable cause statement, that he checked Facebook to find Wilkerson’s alleged comment had been removed. Other Facebook comments indicated concern about the missing comment, according to the charging document.
The probable cause statement indicates that St. Robert Police Department contacted the business owner to make him aware of the threat and were told by the owner that he had already been “made aware of it” by “concerned citizens which contacted his business.”
The Daily Guide contacted St. Robert Police Department to request a booking photo of Wilkerson and learned that one is not available because Wilkerson has not been arrested. He has been charged by the Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney’s office with making a Terrorist Threat in the First Degree and issued a summons to appear in court.
A criminal summons was issued for Wilkerson on June 12, according to Case Net, with an arraignment scheduled for Friday, July 28. Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney Kevin Hillman issued his weekly press release listing Wilkerson on the charge list earlier this week.
