A man was found dead, having shot and killed himself after a standoff with law enforcement at the Rolla post office. 

The gunman was reportedly an overnight employee of the post office who walked in and took three hostages at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 9. These hostages were later removed from the building unharmed. 

During the standoff, Rolla Chief of Police Sean Fagin reported that the gunman was threatening to kill himself. When law enforcement officials entered the building later, he was found dead.
