The Missouri State Highway (MSHP) reported two vehicle accidents in the past week. Other accidetns may have occured, but local city police departments were the respondents. The accidents in this report are the ones reported by MSHP.

August 5 - 8M South of Richland on Rupert RD.
Jason A. Whitaker, age 31 of Richland, was driving Eastbound on Rupert RD in a 2016 Ford Focus, when he traveled off the left side of the roadway. Whitaker struck a culvert, became airborne and struck the ground before coming to rest facing west. Whitaker’s vehicle was totaled by the incident and he received serious injuries. Whitaker was transported by a Pulaski County Ambulance to the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital.

August 6 - I-44, 2 miles West of St. Robert
Gregory Gannon, age 52 of Hazleton, PA was driving Westbound on 1-44 as he lost control of his vehicle, a 2011 Peterbilt Tractor Trailer, on the wet pavement. Gannon traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck the ditch. The cab of the vehicle overturned before coming to rest. One passenger, a female aged 56, received minor injuries and was transported by Pulaski County Ambulance to Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla.
