Head Dixon Coach Flaugher said this about the tough win, “Very well played game on both sides tonight. We did a good job of putting the ball in play tonight and was fortunate enough to get a couple of runs off the tough Waynesville defense. Our bats will come around if we keep putting the ball in play and having good approaches at the plate. Great defensive performance by our club tonight to back up a solid pitching performance by Tressa in the circle.”
The Bulldogs’ key player in the game was Tressa Hughes. She had two hits in the game with two hits and several strikeouts. “Tressa Hughes got the win by striking out ten batters and allowing one earned run on six hits in the game.
