A fire appears to have heavily damaged a home in the 25000 block of Highway A just north of Richland in Camden County. 

According to a Sept. 3 press release from the Tri-County Fire Protection District, the TCFPD along with the Crocker Fire Protection District and Waynesville Rural Fire Protection District was dispatched to a first alarm residential structure fire at that location at 1:54 a.m. Aug. 31. 

Tri-County Pumper/Tanker 1351 and Tanker 1361 responded with seven firefighters. Crocker Engine 1552, Tanker 1563, Waynesville Engine 1951, Command 1992 and PCAD Medic 24 responded as well.

Units 1351 and 1361 arrived at 2:04 a.m., reporting fire showing from the A, D corner of the home, the press release stated. Crews attacked the fire through the front door and a second attack line was deployed to the rear of the home. 

The fire was brought under control a short time later. One firefighter was transported to the hospital and was later released.

Mid-County Fire Protection District and Hazelgreen FPD also both responded with tankers.
