Greg Stratman, Richland’s former City Administrator, resigned after the latest Board of Aldermen meeting which was Tuesday, September 19.

According to the City Clerk Susan Alexander, Stratman was not escorted out of building regardless of what other sources say. The mayor helped him take his boxes out of the building.

No one knows why he resigned, either, according to Alexander. He did not give any reason as to why he resigned nor give a warning in advance. Everyone was surprised to see him leave.

Samantha Kramer, a Richland resident, showed some concern on Facebook. Kramer posted, “I have worked with Greg MANY times over the past couple years and can confidently say he always had the best interest of our town at heart. He accommodated whatever requests I had (records, advice, grant assistance) when many others wouldn't. The city has lost a great ally and someone who worked hard to advance initiatives that would benefit us ALL. If you happen to see Greg, thank him for his dedication.”
