It was a beautiful fall morning and a perfect day for the Decade Run for the Paws on Saturday.

Runners and walkers of all ages, families, and dog owners, laced up their running shoes and leashed up their dogs to support this fundraiser for Loving Paws Adoption Center. (LPAC)

Dogs of all sizes, shapes, and colors joined their owners for the 5K walk.

Pulaski County Humane Society members, Kim Fuhr, Cherrie Rigsby, and Angie Johnson handed out race packets, timed the participants and when all had completed the event presented medals.

PCHS and LPAC said they wanted to offer a big “thank you” to the soldiers of the 84th Chemical Company (Captain’s career course) for donating time on their day off to help out at the event, to Laurel Nutter from Sellers-Sexton Trucks & Imports, for the use of their parking lot, and to all the other business and community sponsors.

And of course, a big thanks. “ woof, woof, meow, “ from all the furkids at LPAC who will benefit from the proceeds of today’s event.
