The Dixon Middle School Bulldogs won the 2017 Junior High Frisco League Basketball Championship. They went 7-0 in conference play this season. Many of the 8th graders on this team were also part of the Track Conference Championship in the spring.
    The Members of the A team this year were, Hayden Wolfe, Nathan Eggen, Riley Solan, Matt Barnett, Case Sinden, Rocky D'Mellow, Ethan Keeth, Jayden Roam, Justin Skyles, Randon Mahurin, Leland Alexander, Gordon Bowling, CJ Thiltgen.
    When asked about preparing them for High School, Head Dixon Bulldogs Coach Steve Schofield said, ”Hopefully we taught them some fundamentals that they can use when they get to high school as well as how to play as a team.”

Only Case Sinden returns with any A team experience next year for the Bulldogs at the middle school.

    It was not a perfect season this year after their first loss of the season he said , “We played much better after we lost the championship of the Richland Tournament to Richland.”
    They didn't win any tournaments this year but placed 2nd at Richland Tournament & placed 3rd in the Frisco League Tournament which was hosted by Newburg this year.
   About coaching the team this year, Dixon Coach Steve Schofield said, “It was an enjoyable season because the kids worked hard & did whatever was asked of them.”
