The 2017 sotball season has ended. The Richland Lady Bears Lost in the district tournament while the Dixon Lady Bulldogs lost in the state Quarter Finals to the eventual state runner up Blair Oaks Lady Falcons.

DIxon Lady Bulldogs
    The Dixon Lady Bulldogs had an outstanding season this year as they ended the season with a 24-1 record and making it to the Class 2 State Quarterfinals, where they fell to a very tough Blair Oaks Lady Falcons Team.
    The Lady Bulldogs swept the conference again this year and had several players who earned All Frisco League Honors.
    Tressa Hughes led the way for the Lady Bulldogs this year with one one loss on the season as a pitcher. She was selected as the Frisco League MVP this season for her work. She was joined by Head Dixon Coach Michael Flaugher who was selected as coach of the year.
    Taylor McKinnon, Ariel Prater, Lauren Gilbert, and Izzy Thiltgen were all selected as first team All Conference. Ryli Martin was awarded Honorable Mention for her play this year.
    When districts came to an end this year is was not supposed to see a Lady bulldogs in every category. Five Dixon players were selected to the First Team Class 2 All District 11 Team. Tressa Hughes was selected as a pitcher, while her catcher Ariel Prater was also selected for the same first team honor. Skylar Maddox was the only first team outfielder from Dixon.
    The Infield was well represented as Dixon had two ladies awarded. Taylor McKinnon and Lauren Gilbert both earned first team honors.
    Dixon had two player who earned second team honors in districts. Ryli Martin was selected for her infield work, while Izzy Thiltgen was the utility selection.
    Dixon was award with three more honors in the Class 2 All Regional 3 Team. Two of them were first team and one was the second team. Taylor McKinnon was once again selected for her outstanding defence into the state tournament with here infield work. Pitcher Tressa Hughes was awarded first team pitcher for the regional that included 2 state final four teams.
Ariel Prater was selected to be on the second team with here catching and defence skill being recognized.
    The Final recognition to be honored was Tressa Hughes this year as she was selected to the All State Team First Team as a pitcher.

Richland Lady Bears
    The Richland Lady Bears season end in Districts this year. The competed in a very tough district where the second place Iberia Lady Rangers only lost to the Dixon Lady Bulldogs.
The Lady Bears had three girls who made First Team All Conference. Jessi Whittle, Morgan Moss, and Emily Eckman all earned first team honors in Frisco League Play.
Richland had two players selected to the all district first team. Their pitcher Jessi Whittle and infielder Morgan Moss both were honored.
They also had three more players placed on the All District Second Team. Jaycee Graves was selected for her outfield play. Emily Eckman and MaKenzie Moss were both selected for their excellent defence on the infield.
