This weekend is all about veterans in Pulaski County, in honor of Veterans Day. Check out the top three things to do.
1. Field of Heroes
On November 10 - 11, the Armed Forces YMCA in con- junction with the City of St. Robert will be presenting a field of flags, at George M. Reed Park in St. Robert. Each flag at the “Field of Heroes” is sponsored by a perbusiness to recognize and honor individuals they consider to be their heroes. The flags will be arranged in precision rows like the flags in the Arlington National Cemetery. The public is invited to walk through the field and spend some time reverently honoring the heroes. Photos are permitted.
2. Veterans Day Luncheon
Friday, November 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Robert Maries County Bank location, veterans are invited to a free lunch to thank them for their service. The menu includes pulled pork, potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw, and cookies provided by the Maries County Bank.
