The soccer season is over for the Frisco League with the Crocker Lions making it to the State Final 4 and other teams having great seasons with lots of younger players. The Class 1 District 5 All District Team has been announced.
Crocker Lions 20-2 (3rd Place in Missouri)
The Lions had one of their best seasons in school history. They beat the 2007 team's places by taking 3rd in the State in Class 1. They had six players on the All District team.
Senior Jonathan Gray earned the honor as a goalie. Seniors Dillon Porter and Samuel Carringer were the two forwards represented. Senior Dhenem Lancaster was selected as the midfielder representative. The Final two Lions honors were the two senior defenders, Caleb McMurtrey and Shelton Minor.
Crocker also had a honorable mention on the All District Team. Junior Midfielder Logan Burney-Roberts. He will be the only player honored to be returning next year.
They will be losing ten seniors next year but will have nine junior high kids ready to move up as a freshman and take their place.
Dixon Bulldogs 7-17 (District Semifinals)
The Dixon Bulldogs improved toward the end of the season. They had four players that represented them on the All District Team.
Junior Cody Dalton and Freshman Riley Haist represented the midfielders for the Bulldogs. Both of them will be returning next year to improve the team. Seniors Montana Porter and Bailey Haist represented the defender position on the team.
Senior Quest Winkle was selected on the honorable mention team as a forward.
The Bulldogs have several graduation and many players staying and moving up. They will be a contender for a title next year.
Iberia Rangers 2-12 (District Quarterfinals)
The Rangers had a rebuilding year that prepared their returning kids with experience next year. They had three players selected on the All District Team.
The forward position was represented by Senior Couper Brown and Sophomore AJ Skiles. Junior Tyler Bolan also earned honors for his play in the net this year. He will be coming back to help the Rangers improve their record for his senior season.
Senior Rankin Plemmons earned Honorable Mention as a Defender.
Several of the Rangers will be returning next year and will be ready to improve.
Richland Bears 8-12 (District Semifinals)
The Bears were another team that improved during the year. They had four player recognized as All District.
Junior Tyler Bolan was selected for the goalie position. Sophomore Layton Jenkins was selected for the forward position. The Defender position had two players represented. Juniors Ryan Rosa and Tayte Holiman earned the honor for their defensive play.
Sophomore Caleb Prebi was recognized as Honorable Mention for his play in the forward position.
Richland will have all those recognized returning to the team next year and will be a team that could challenge for a title next year. They also have a good size class of junior high kids moving up to the freshman level to help the team.
