After blind tasting around eight different types of cookies and arguing amongst themselves for about a half hour, the judges in the Daily Guide's annual cookie contest chose their winners.
The judges were the field staff of the Pulaski County Sewer District, a group of guys who know what a good cookie tastes like. They were very tough judges too, commenting on taste, texture, and presentation as they sampled the cookies.
Crystal Miller's chocolate covered cherry cookies were the majority of the group's favorite without question, followed closely by Zoie Helton's Snickerdoodles and Melody Hubbard's peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.
The first place winner, Crystal Miller, will win a $50 gift card, second place winner, Zoie Helton, gets a $30 gift card, and Melody Hubbard gets a $20 gift card. Congratulations to the winners!
