What a great time of year to visit the library and get engrossed in all of the new books coming out right now!

Who wants to go out in the cold? Stay inside and read! (In the summer time, it’s our recommendation to beat the heat by staying inside with a good book. I’m sensing a trend.)

The Grouchy Historian by Ed Asner – I think the title says it all. Find this one at the Richland and Waynesville Libraries

Past Perfect by Danielle Steel - An abrupt job relocation that takes them from their well-ordered Manhattan life to San Francisco triggers a collision between the past and present for a successful married couple who during a small earthquake experience visions of their new home's original inhabitants from a century earlier. (Description provided by publisher.) Find “Past Perfect” at all PCLD branches.

Caroline: Little House, Revisited – This fiction book is a reimagining of the familiar Ingalls story, told from mother Caroline’s point of view. Follow the family through hardships, illness, and joys in a new and exciting way. “Caroline” is available at the Richland Library.

Promise Me, Dad by Joe Biden – This memoir chronicles the year of Biden’s life after his son, Beau, was diagnosed with a fatal brain tumor.

The House of Unexpected Sisters by Alexander McCall Smith – The latest in the #1 Ladies’ Detective Agency finds Precious Ramotswe back at work, righting injustices and learning valuable lessons about friendship, family, and first impressions.
