This weekend Pulaski County residents are recovering from the holidays and trying to stay warm, however there are a few things to do out and about.

1. Pulaski County Farmer’s Market

The Pulaski County Farmer’s Market is a year-round farmer’s market where all kinds of goodies are available. It’s held every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at the Farmer’s Market Pavillion in Roubidoux Spring Campground and RV Park in Waynesville.

2. Turkey shoot

American Legion Post 240, in Richland, is hosting a turkey shoot at its location at 1100 N. Pine Street in Richland. The event is being held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6. The cost to enter is $2 per round and there are 10 rounds available. Meat will be given out to the winners.

3. Pass the plate free dinner

From noon to 2 p.m., the first Sunday of every month, Metamorphosis Outreach hosts a free dinner that is meant to “bridge families together one plate at a time.” Pass The Plate is a community outreach that was birthed September 2010. The dinner is held in two locations, the one at the center located at 1018 Missouri Ave. and one for independent living seniors at Sky View.
