The Dixon Bulldogs squared up against a tough Fatima Comet team. They are both in the same district and may face each other later in the season.

The Comets came out shooting strong in the first quarter as they outscored the Bulldogs 10-3 in a great defensive effort. Both teams heated up in the second period as Fatima outlasted the Bulldogs 19-15 in a high scoring match. The Fatima Comets led 29-18 at the end of the first half of play.

The Bulldogs began the second half with urgency as they were able to out shoot the Comets 18-15 in the second period. The Bulldogs decreased Fatimas lead to just 44-36. The Comet defense held strong as none of the bulldog players could slow down Fatima in the final period. The Comets outscored Dixon 22-6 in the quarter. Fatima won the good shooting game 66-42.

The Dixon Bulldogs were led in the game by Trey Holzer with twelve points in the loss. Sabastian Salais was not far behind with ten points in the game. Walker Shelton scored eight point for Dixon. Tyrone Harris scored 5 points and Seth Parker had four points in the game. Quest Winkle added three point in the tough district loss.

Brunnet led the Fatima Comets with 28 points. Grunen scored 15 points in the game. Nilges scored eight points in the win. Werner scored seven points. Holterman scored three points and Creede added two points of her own.

The Dixon Bulldogs play the Crocker Lions tonight at Crocker High School.
