The Waynesville Lady Tigers played the Pacific Lady Indians in the semi final round of the Washington Tournament. Waynesville pulled off a big win and advanced to the championship game.

The Lady Tigers and Lady Indians both came out strong in the first period as both teams scored thirteen points. The Lady Tigers picked up the pace in the second period as they outscored Pacific 19-11 in the second period. The Waynesville Lady Tigers led 32-24 after the first half of play.

The Waynesville girls did not slow down in the third period and was able to edge out Pacific 16-14. The Lady Tigers led 48-38 after three quarters in the game. Both the Pacific Lady Indians and the Lady Tigers had their highest scoring periods in the game. Waynesville outscored the Lady Indians 19-17 in the period. The Lady Tigers won the semi final game 66-55 to advance to the Washington Tournament Championship Game tonight at 8:30 PM.

Head Waynesville Lady Tigers Coach Brittany Matlock said this after the game, “It was a hard fought game. We stuck with it for four quarters.  We are playing In the championship game Friday 8:30 against Washington or Holt.”
