The 8th Annual Banquet for Life is coming up and the Free Women's Center recently announced that the keynote speaker will be Missy Robertson, of A&E's "Duck Dynasty."

Robertson is the wife of Jase Robertson, author of "Blessed, Blessed... Blessed," and stars on the reality TV show along with the rest of her family. She is known for her conservative Christian values and will be speaking in favor of the Free Women's Center's main cause, preventing abortion.

Also, as part of the program, there is usually a participant in the Free Women's Center's programs on hand to discuss how the organization has impacted his or her life.

The Banquet for Life is a fundraising dinner for the Free Women's Center, but does not cost to attend. Attendees are asked to donate during the dinner to support the organization.

The purpose of the Free Women's Center is a Christian organization that aims to provide support, resources, and alternatives for women faced with unplanned pregnancies.

"All of our services are free of charge including pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, prenatal education, material & financial assistance, men’s mentoring and abstinence until marriage education.  Our prenatal education classes, called “Earn While You Learn” equip our clients with the skills they need to be parents and help them earn a $150 shopping trip to purchase needed infant care supplies," the organization said in a press release about the upcoming event.

The banquet will be held at the ARK Community and Sports Center this year and attendees are required to register in advance in order to attend as seating is limited. The ARK is located at 25625 MO-17 in Waynesville.
