New Athletic Director Cory Ace introduced Rochelle Maubach as the new head girls softball coach. She is a special education teacher and comes here from the St. Louis area in 2009. Last year, she was an assistant coach for the Lebanon Lady Yellow Jackets softball team.

She said she was ready to begin coaching right away. Maubach said she “has big plans and dreams for the future of the Waynesville softball program in moving forward.”

She is a two time national champion softball player and has several awards and records.

Maubach said she plans to bring her “enthusiasm, knowledge of the game and positions” to the Waynesville softball program.

She also said she has an open door policy and the best way to contact her is through Waynesville High School. She said she will get with them as soon as she can when people contact her.

She said she coaches after she physically could not play any more and never lost the love of the game. She remained a student and studied the game. Coaching gives her the drive and opportunity to improve the players.
