Three events this weekend are Nerf games, an adult painting class, and 3 on 3 basketball.

This weekend you can have some fun with Nerf games, get crafty at an adult painting class, or help raise money by playing basketball.

Nerf Wars and Nerf Jr. at the ARK
This Friday, there will be a night full of fun Nerf games at the ARK in Waynesville from 6-9 p.m. Participants must be between the ages of 4 and 15. Kids can bring their own Nerf guns or guns can be rented at the event. Prices for rentals begin at $2. Admission for the event is $6 and dinner is included. Parents must sign their children up by Thursday, March 22, at the front desk of the ARK. Admission payment will be taken the day of the event. Blu Moon Art Studio will be having a painting class located at Sugar Buckets Resale and Consignment in Waynesville on Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m. This class will be taught in one and a half hours or less and is a beginner level class. All supplies needed will be provided. Snacks and drinks will be provided as well. Tickets should be reserved at least 24 hours in advance and the cost is $25. 3 on 3 Basketball Madness
Come out and shoot some hoops to help raise money for the Snack in a pack program. This program provides supplemental food packs to students in the Waynesville School District every weekend and extended school breaks. This program is 100% donation driven. Tip off for this event will on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Waynesville High School. Registration for teams is the same day from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Grades 6-12 as well as adults can participate. There will be three different brackets: grades 6-8, 9-12, and adults. Registration costs are $40 for adult teams and $30 for youth teams. There will be an individual shooting skills competition as well, costs being $1 per attempt.
