Residents of the Waynesville School District will have the opportunity to visit with candidates vying for two open seats on the board of education.

The Meet the Candidate Forum will be held tonight, March 22, at 6:00 p.m. in The Waynesville High School Library. The forum is sponsored by the Waynesville R-VI MSTA/CTA.

The candidates are Paul D. Shultz II, Andy Anderson, Christopher Kramer, Alberto Reyes and Janet Crider. Schultz and Anderson are incumbents seeking re-election to the board.

Candidates have all been provided two questions from the MSTA/CTA to be answered during the forum. No questions will be taken from the public but candidates will be available for a meet and greet before after the question and answer session. Residents can ask questions and visit with the candidates during those times.

The election date is Tuesday, April 3, 2018.

For those who can’t attend, the forum will be televised live on the Facebook page, "Waynesville Channel 12 & Tiger TV."
