Good Samaritan of the Ozarks announces the date and theme of their annual Women of Significance Luncheon.

Good Samaritan of the Ozarks is gearing up for its tenth annual Women of Significance Luncheon.

This event is to benefit Genesis: A Place of New Beginnings and is one of two yearly events coordinated by Chairperson Nathalie Brech and the volunteer event planners.

Genesis is the domestic violence program of the Good Samaritan of the Ozarks and provides shelter, support group, and other resources for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

“This luncheon not only brings awareness to the community about the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault but also how Genesis helps those who are affected by it,” said Assistant Director Danielle Green.

Women of Significance 2018, “Attitude of Gratitude,” will be held Saturday, April 28 at Westside Baptist Church.

This luncheon is highly informative as well as entertaining while drawing beneficial support for the program.

Other elements of the luncheon will include a fashion show featuring clothing from the organization’s thrift stores which directly funds Genesis. In addition, there will be a live auction of various local art pieces.

This event averages 250-300 in attendance. The organization strives to increase the number of supporters.

Tickets will go on sale April 2 at $20 each.

Ticket purchases can be made online at, at either of the thrift stores, or at the Administrative Office.
