We got a strong effort from Braden Mahurin, Sabastian Salais, and Evan Nickels on the mound, who combined for 16 strikeouts and just 1 walk. We played good, fundamental defense, and did enough on the offensive end to capture the win. We will need to clean up our base running a bit, as we lost a few guys on the base paths tonight. Overall though, it was a very solid effort tonight and was important to win the first game in pool play in the tournament. Pool play continues Thursday against Crocker and Newburg.”
