The Tigers and Lady Tigers won the Waynesville Junior Varsity Invitational Track Meet. The Waynesville Lady Tiger scored 175 team points to take the title by 98 points over Licking who scored 77 points. The Tiger boys scored 136.5 while Camdenton finished second with 102 points.

The Tigers won five individual events. AJ Martin win the 100, 200, and 400 meter dashes. The 4x800 meter team of Eric Head, Caleb Pursley, Bryan O’Barr, and Draydon Raef won the meet. Jared Hyatt won the high jump for the Tigers.

The Waynesville Lady Tigers had eight first place finishes in the meet. Astacia Garcia won the 400 meter dash. Chambre Garcia won the 800 and 1600 meter run. Kieyera Kolbow won the 3200 meter run.

The 4x800 meter relay team also won their event. They consisted of Alaina Basinger, Autumn Miller, Kolbow, and C Garcia.

Oceana Goodell won the high jump for the Lady Tigers. Hannah Hedrick won the long jump and the triple jump.

Head Waynesville Tigers Track Coach Mike Rawlings said this after the meet, “I am very proud of the way our young kids came out tonight and performed.  We had a lot of winners, but to score as many team points as we did, you have to have many kids go out and perform well.”

The Junior Varsity team will travel to School of the Osage on Tuesday. The Varsity Girls will travel to Springfield on Thursday for the Girls Night out Meet at Parkview while the Boys will travel to Springfield Hillcrest this Friday.
