The Dixon Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs traveled to St. James Monday in a makeup date from a rain out a few weeks ago. The meet was a rainy one, but the Dixon team ran very well in the open meet.

The boys placed third with 58 points behind St. James with 225 and Licking, who scored 64 points. The girls placed fourth in the meet behind St. James with 184 points, Licking with 116 points and Newburg who came in third with 32 points.

The boys sprinting group had a good night. They began with freshman Trevin Weed placing fourth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.48. Senior Trevor Graves placed ninth in the race with a run of 13.02. The girls ran some season highs during the match. Sophomore Alyssa Cash place 12th in the meet with a season best time of 16.06. Trish Monell placed 13th in the event.

Weed also placed third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.55. Senior Zach Shelter placed fifth in the meet with a time of 26.07. Senior Justin Keeth tied for eighth place with a time of 27.05 on the night. Cash also placed seventh in the 200 meter dash with a time of 33.61. Monell placed tenth in the 200.

Shelter came in as the runner up in the 400 meter dash with a time of 56.51. Junior Baden Perry placed fourth with a time of 1:00.03 in the meet. Freshman Colby Marr ran the race in 1:06.51. Monell placed fourth in the 400 with a personal best time of 1:25.56.

Dillion Williams was the second place finisher in the 800 meter run as he ran a time of 2:23.23 while Isiah Willis placed fourth with a performance of 2:34.81.

Senior Trevor Graves placed third on the night in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 17.58. He was only beaten by two St. James Tigers who are Class 4 in track. Graves also ran a season high in the 300 meter hurdles. He ran a time of 46.99 and earned a fourth place finish.

The Bulldogs had two 4x100 meter relay teams in the meet. The first team which consisted of all freshman placed third with a time of 53.49. They consisted of Colby Marr, Tyson Reathaford, Holden Perry, and JP Zollman. The second team placed fourth with a time of 53.49. That team consisted of Gabriel Aldahondo, Keith, B. Perry, and Weed.

Dixon also placed third in the 4x200 with the time of 1:44.89. The team consisted of Williams, Chase Beardslee, Willis, and Weed. The 4x400 meter team also placed fourth on the night. Shelter, Willis, Zollman, and Keeth were all part of the team.

Freshman Tyson Reathaford threw the shot put a personal record of 34’10.5” to earn him a fourth place finish. Senior Lane Williams also threw well during the meet and placed eighth. Reathaford also placed second in the discus with a through of 84 feet. Holden Perry placed 8th in the meet.

Shelter placed seventh in the long jump with a leap of 16’4”. Zollman placed eighth in the meet. Willis placed third in the triple jump with a leap of 31’4”.

The Dixon Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs traveled to Fatima High School on Tuesday and will travel to Russellville High School this Saturday.
