Geoffrey Morgan, owner of Mad Hatter Performance, a motorcycle repair shop, an automotive customization shop and an automotive parts store in St. Robert, recently competed with his team in a national competition. Morgan’s team, The Dysfunctional Veterans, took second out of 13 teams.
According to Morgan, over 50 teams entered. Only 13 were selected to compete.
The Blue Collar Build Off challenges teams to build the best working motorcycle. According to Morgan, the teams had 30 days and only $1,500 to build a working bike. The teams built the bikes in Las Vegas, Nevada. They then drove their bikes the 120-mile stretch from Vegas to Golden Valley, Arizona, according to Morgan. The Blue Collar Build Off started on February 26 and ended on March 27.
