On Thursday evening, April 6, 2018, members of the Pulaski County Area Retired School Personnel, the local unit of Missouri Retired Teachers Association and Public School Personnel met with the members of Hazelgreen Fire Protection District at their monthly board meeting. The school personnel representatives presented two large bags full of stuffed animals collected at the recent PCARSP meeting. These will be given to children who have experienced a motor vehicle accident, a fire in their home, a personal injury, or some other trauma to show them that someone cares about their hurt.
Each month PCARSP has a service project at their meeting that helps children or organizations who help children. Some of those, in addition to the stuffed animals for first responders, are Special Olympics, Backpack Programs, Ozark Food Harvest, Good Samaritan, Genesis, AEL/GED, School Personnel Appreciation for all who work in public schools for American Education Week, and one month each year member’s donate to their personal favorite charity.
On Thursday April 5th, 2018 Hazelgreen Fire Protection District was presented with many plush animals. Pulaski County Area Retired School Personnel would like to thank the Hazelgreen Fire Protection District for their service to the citizens of the district.
Attending the presentation was Fire Chief Dustin Britzmanm PCARSP President, Marilyn Odle, Martin White, Georgia White, Region 7 MRTA Vice-President, Jarrod Arnall, and Joseph Ellis Gerber, and other board members who attended.
