The Dixon Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs traveled to Russellville High School on Saturday. This was a chance for most of the Class 1 and Class 2 schools that will compete in Districts or Sectionals to test the track.
Senior Trevor Graves placed sixth on the 100 meter dash with a run of 12.83. Freshman Travin Weed placed 11th with a run of 13.04 in the tough meet. Freshman Alyssa Cash placed in the top 20 in the 100 with a personal record time of 15.88. Freshman Trish Monell also ran well in the race. Weed claimed the fifth place spot in the 200 meter dash with his run of 25.25. Freshman JP Zollman placed 16th in the tough race also. Senior Justin Keith represented the Bulldogs in the 400 meter run with a personal best time of 57.86. Freshman Colby Marr also ran the race and placed 16th with a time of 1:01. That was also his personal best.
Senior Dillon Williams ran the 800 meter run in a time of 2:27. He placed ninth during the race. Junior Chase Beardslee ran the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:33. Beardslee also ran the 3200 of meter run in a personal record time of 11:56.
The Bulldogs captured the third and fourth places in the 110 meter hurdles. Graves was third with 17.81 while Marr placed fourth with his personal record time of 19.70 in the race. Graves placed fourth in the 300 meter hurdles with his run of 45.31.
The Bulldogs relay teams ran strong as the 4x100 meter team placed eight with a time of 54.36 in the fast race. The team consisted of Junior Gabriel Aldahondo, Marr, Zollman, and Freshman Tyson Reathaford. The 4x200 meter relay team placed fifth with a time of 1:42.97. The relay team was ran by Weed, Keeth, Zollman, and Isiah Willis. The 4x400 meter relay team placed sixth in the meet with their time of 4:06. Keeth, Marr, Zollman, and Perry were part of the team. The 4x800 meter relay team took home a medal with their fourth place finish. They ran a time of 9:47.93 in the very fast distance relay. The team consisted of Beadslee, Willis, Perry, and Williams.
The shot put was represented by Reathaford who placed 10th with a throw of 33”7”. Senior Lane WIlliams also placed 12th in the event with a good throw. Reathaford placed 11th in the discus with a throw of 93’0”. Holden Perry also threw a personal record in the discus.
Graves was the runner up in the javelin with his throw of 131’3”. Junior Braden Perry placed fifth with his throw of 123’4”. Weed placed second in the high jump with his leap of 5’6”. Aldahondo jumped a personal best leap in the long jump. Willis jumped 31’ in the triple jump.
The Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs will compete in the Frisco League Conference Championship Wednesday.
