The Waynesville Tigers had their Senior Night on Tuesday.

The Tigers lost the game 8-0 against a tough Glendale Falcons team. Seniors Tanner Simpson, Brock Timmons, Devon Stearns, Ethan Brown, Colin Crockett, Noah Ochoa, Eric Kane, Briley Wade, Cameron Marcum, Ethan Gatzemeyer and manager Nicole Nemetz were all honored in front of the home crowd.

Head Waynesville Tigers baseball coach Scott Turner said this after the game, “Tuesday was Senior Night. We recognized all 11 seniors. Unfortunately we lost 0-8. Ethan Brown was the only player to reach base with a double and hit by pitch. However, as a team we only struck out once, so we did a better job putting the ball in play.”

The Tigers gave up 12 hits in the game, while they were able to get one hit. Glendale scored four runs in the top of the first inning and added one more in the top of the second. The Falcons added a run in the fourth, fifth and seventh innings to total their four runs.
Ethan Brown was the only Tigers to get a hit on the night. Brown also was hit by a pitch later in the game.

Brown pitched five innings and faced 30 batters. Brown gave up nine hits and allowed seven runs. He struck out six Glendale batters. Noah Ochoa closed the game out and faced nine batters in two innings. He allowed one run on three hits while he struck one Falcon out.
Waynesville dropped to 4-10 on the season and 2-4 in Ozark Conference action. The Tigers traveled to West Plains on Thursday, but their results were not available at press time.

The junior varsity team won their game 5-4.
