The Dixon Lady Bulldogs added another conference win on Tuesday night. The team defeated the Stoutland Lady Tigers.

The Lady Bulldogs won the game over the Lady Tigers 5-4 by out hitting them 10-2 during the game. The Lady Tigers took an early lead in the first inning and added two more in the second. The Lady Tigers led 3-0 after the second inning. Dixon was able to two runs in the fourth and the fifth innings to gain the lead. The Lady Bulldogs led the Lady Tigers 4-3 after five innings of play. Stoutland tied the game up at four each when they scored in the sixth inning. The Lady Bulldogs scored the walkoff in the seventh to claim the win.

Taylor McKinnon, Lauren Gilbert, Teira Weed and Emily Johnson all had two hits in the win. Tressa Hughes had a hit, while Ryli Martin hit the difference making homerun.

McKinnon, Hughes, Gilbert, Martin and Johnson all scored during the game. Hughes and Martin both had two run batted in during the night.

McKinnon, Weed and Johnson all had stolen bases during the game.

Head Dixon Bulldogs Softball Coach Michael Flaugher said this after the game about the pitching, “Tressa Hughes got the win by striking out 17, while walking one and allowing two hits and two earned runs.”
