On April 26, 18 students from WHS traveled to University of Missouri-Columbia to compete in the Solo and Ensemble contest. Previously, the state used a “1-5” numeral rating system. This year, the state has changed to a “Gold, Silver, Bronze” system. 

The following students received a “GOLD- the highest level of musical achievement performance” rating:

• Caitlin Banks- Flute

• Ezechiel Daos- Flute 

• Katie Blau- Vocal

• Ezechiel Daos- Vocal

• Woodwind Quintet: 

   Ezechiel Daos (Flute), Michelle 

   Swink (Clarinet), Khalan Taylor 

   (Bass Clarinet), Jordan Rivera 

   (French Horn) and Jade Brazzel 

   (Oboe) 

  Kameron Rosensteel- Euphonium

These students received a “SILVER- highly commendable level of musical achievement” rating:

• Brass Quintet:  Ladarion Hardison 

  (Trombone), James Felix (French 

  Horn), Latrisha Ford (Trumpet), 

  Kyrien Edwards (Trumpet), Ricky 

  Rivera (Tuba)

• Jade Brazzel- Oboe

• Latrisha Ford- Trumpet

• Anthonie Esparza- Trumpet

• Allan Mitchell- Trombone

• Hannah Bailey- Marimba

• Collin Morout- Euphonium

These students received a “BRONZE- commendable level of musical achievement” rating:

• Anthony Zuber- Tenor Sax

• Kyrien Edwards- Trumpet
