An early evening crash on I-44 injured 3 people and tied up traffic near the 197-mile marker. 

According to Troop I of the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident was reported around 6:25 p.m. in the westbound lane of I-44. 

The crash occurred as a 2000 Ford Expedition driven by Joshua Dodson, 35 of St. Robert, was in the passing lane, crossed the center of the road into the path of a vehicle driver by Clinton D. Berry, 35, of Nevada, MO. Dodson’s vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle driven by Berry overturned on the highway.

Dodson and two passengers in Berry’s vehicle, Belinda L. Berry, 46, of Nevada, and Mikel T. McCurry, 31, of Rolla, were taken to Phelps County Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
